Hey!  I love Scrivener.  Did you know I love Scrivener?  Did you know it’s the best writing software ever ever ever?  I love it so much that I have resources on it for you.  You lucky dog!

Here’s where you can get the software: http://literatureandlatte.com/

Here’s a copy of a Scrivener template I designed (From the Windows version 1.9, so it is usable in Scrivener 2 for Mac or Scrivener 1 for Windows, based on the default Novel template, and using character development information I got from the great Sarah Eden): My Novel template.  To use it, unzip it, then go into the .scriv folder and double-click on the .scrivx file to open it.  You can tweak it however you think you would want, for future novels, then click ‘File,’ and ‘Save as template’ (NOT ‘save as’).  I suggest putting it under Fiction and naming it whatever you want.

I also teach webinars on it!  I will embed those videos in separate parts on this page, but here are the powerpoints from the classes:
Here is the powerpoint for the intro class
Here is the powerpoint on the compiling class
Here is a document full of placeholder tags – basically, codes you can use in headers and footers and such to autonumber things and stuff like that.

Also, K.M. Weiland, who is an excellent resource for helping people structure and outline their novels, has a Scrivener template she designed specifically for structuring your novel, and you can get it on her site here.

And of course, if you have questions, just shoot me an email!
